Our Story
Established in 1977, Michael Time of Las Vegas has been serving the community for wholesale high-end wristwatches for over 40 years. Our humble beginnings started in the Los Angeles downtown jewelry district on the corner of 7th Street and Hill Street where Mike Chen started selling Seiko and Citizen watches in a 5’x10′ booth on ground floor in the historic Foreman and Clark building on 400 West 7th Street. Twenty years later after opening, Mike’s son Frank – after graduating college and growing up his whole life in the watch industry – followed in his father’s footsteps providing professional help and support in helping his clients find the right timepiece for their collection. Shortly after joining the family business, the Chen Family decided it was time to move as more space was needed to display the vast selection of brands we have access to. So we moved across the street to The Great Western Plaza where we ran our business in downtown Los Angeles for another 18 years specializing in some of the world’s most sought after brands like Rolex, Patek Philippe, Omega, Zenith, Breguet, Franck Muller, Cartier and Breitling, just to name a few.
As 2018 neared and Mike Chen was reaching 70 years old, he had decided to retire in December of 2017 leaving the business to his son Frank. Frank decided since the times are changing, it was time to embrace the new era by taking the long time business his father had built and bring it into the electronic world.
